Illuminate Your Sacred Space with Timeless Craftsmanship
The Brass Seshnag Diya is a masterpiece of traditional Indian metalwork - a devotional oil lamp featuring the divine Seshnag (Shesha, the cosmic serpent) as its central motif. Cast in solid brass with an antique gold finish, this piece brings the sanctity of a temple mandir into your home.
Design & Symbolism
The front face presents a serene deity in Namaste mudra (prayer pose), framed by an ornate Seshnag hood with eleven wick holders radiating outward — each representing divine light and protection. The intricately latticed backdrop and lotus-petal base speak to centuries of South Indian temple art tradition.
Functional Elegance
The side view reveals a graceful curved arm extending from the base, holding a central oil cup — designed for traditional ghee or oil diyas. The arched stand provides stability on any altar, puja shelf, or mandir surface.
